About the Role

Key Tasks
- Preparing and dispensing medications, including compounding and labeling, under the supervision of a pharmacist
- Managing inventory and restocking medication supplies, ensuring compliance with safety and storage regulations
- Assisting in medication order entry, data entry in electronic health records (EHR) and maintaining accurate patient records
Pathway Requirements
- This 4-month virtual program is designed to be flexible so you can attend classes and complete coursework around your work schedule.
- Participants can expect to dedicate 18 hours per week to completing course requirements, including:
- 2 live online classes per week, 2 hours per class
- 14 hours per week of self-directed coursework
- At the end of the 4-month program, you will transfer to a new role as a paid, full-time pharmacy technician trainee to complete the 4-week clinical experience needed to become a certified pharmacy technician.
- Your clinical experience will include dedicated preceptors to support you every step of the way.
- During your clinical experience, certification preparation tools will help you get ready to take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE).
